| Outcome | A tier that matches the job: quick and dependable for everyday print work, or stronger reasoning for demanding multi-step jobs. |

Before you start
- The tier you pick is stored on the run. Follow-up turns in that run inherit the same tier automatically.
- Tier choice does not change the credit price of the tools a run uses. Credits are charged per tool, not per tier.
- If the tier you picked is unavailable when a run starts, Operator falls back to another model automatically so the run can continue.
Where to choose a tier
- Open the model tier picker in the Operator composer before you start a run.
- The tier you select applies to that run. Starting a new run lets you pick again.
- Medium US is the default and the right choice for most jobs.
Choosing Sparrow or Sparrow Fast
- Choose Sparrow when: the job is everyday print or artwork work and you want a quick, dependable run.
- Choose Sparrow Fast when: response speed matters most for that run.
- Skip Sparrow or Sparrow Fast when: the job is a demanding, multi-step print job that needs stronger reasoning or judgment. Use Medium US instead.
For demanding, multi-step jobs: Pick Medium US. It is the strongest tier the composer offers, and it is already the default.
Follow-up turns keep the tier: Once a run starts on a tier, later turns in that same run keep using it. Start a new run if you want to pick a different tier.
Automatic fallback: If the model behind your chosen tier is temporarily unavailable, Operator automatically falls back to another model so the run can continue.
What tier choice does not change
- Tier choice does not change the credit price of the tools a run uses. Credits are charged per tool, the same way regardless of tier.
