7 drafts × 3 cr = 21 credits

In our examples Light came back flat and clean, but simpler than the higher tiers. That is what a draft should be: enough to judge the idea.

Real generations made on DesignGen in production on October 16 and 17, 2026 (UTC). Each job used one brief on every tier. Light renders one size; the others ran at 2K, with Ultra Max at Medium detail. Shown resized, with no other changes.

Verdict

When Light fits

Choose it when

  • You are trying ideas and do not know the direction yet.
  • You want rough concepts to show a customer before you commit.
  • You need many variations of one idea at a low credit cost.

Skip it when

  • You need a final print file at 4K.
  • The design depends on fine detail or small lettering.
  • You need a transparent background.

Strongest jobs

  • Testing layouts, subjects and color ideas.
  • Comparing several directions side by side.
  • Drafting a concept you will finish on a higher tier.

Known limits

  • One output size, about 2.5 MP, whatever size you pick.
  • Simpler and flatter than the other tiers in our examples.
  • Asking for a transparent background returns a solid background. Real transparent PNGs come only from Ultra Max.
  • Creative Studio uses standard art direction on this tier. Pro art direction runs only on Ultra Max.

An edit costs the same as a new image

When a draft is right, edit it on the tier the job needs. This bakery draft became a transparent Ultra Max design in one edit.

Ultra Max result: the bakery graphic edited to read "RISE & SHINE" above the loaf and sunburst, with "EST. 2019" below, on a transparent background.
Light example: a flat vintage bakery tee graphic, a loaf in front of a sunburst with arched "RISE & BAKE" text and "EST. 2019".

Keep this exact layout, loaf and sunburst. Refine it into a finished print-ready tee graphic with crisp clean edges and richer screen-print texture on the loaf crust, and change the top lettering to "RISE & SHINE" in the same arched style. Keep "EST. 2019" and the three-color palette.

Prompt tips

  1. 01Keep the prompt short and change one thing per variation, so you can see what made the difference.
  2. 02Name the product and print method, for example "tee graphic, three spot colors".
  3. 03Put any text in quotes, exactly as it should read.
  4. 04When you like a draft, keep the same prompt and run it on Standard or Ultra.

Recovery

When it goes wrong

The draft looks too plain to show as a final.
That is expected on Light. Keep the prompt and run it on Standard for texture or Ultra for crisper edges.
You picked 4K and got a smaller image.
Light makes one size, about 2.5 MP, and charges the same for it. Use Ultra or Ultra Max for 4K.
You asked for a transparent background and got a solid one.
Only Ultra Max makes real transparent PNGs. Run the final on Ultra Max.
Lettering comes back with a wrong or extra letter.
Check every word before you use the image. One image in our example set misspelled a team name. Put the exact text in quotes, then edit the image or run it again.
