The texture Light leaves out

Same brief on Light and Standard. Move the loupe over the sun rays and the loaf: Standard added halftone and depth. If you want flat color, say so in the prompt.

Light example: a flat vintage bakery tee graphic, a loaf in front of a sunburst with arched "RISE & BAKE" text and "EST. 2019".

LIGHT · 1600×1600 · 3 CR · NO ALPHA

Standard example: the bakery tee graphic with a textured loaf, halftone sun rays and "RISE & BAKE" lettering.

STANDARD · 2048×2048 · 10 CR · NO ALPHA

Verdict

When Standard fits

Choose it when

  • You know the direction and want a usable piece of artwork.
  • The design will print or post at sizes that 2K covers.
  • You like a textured, print-style look.

Skip it when

  • You are still exploring ideas. Light costs less per try.
  • You need a 4K file. Standard tops out at 2K.
  • You need a transparent background.

Strongest jobs

  • Tee, tote and merch graphics at up to 2K.
  • Social posts and everyday artwork.
  • Designs that suit print texture, such as halftone.

Known limits

  • Tops out at 2K. A 4K request runs at 2K and is priced at 2K.
  • In our examples it added texture you may not want on a flat-color design.
  • Asking for a transparent background returns a solid background. Real transparent PNGs come only from Ultra Max.
  • Creative Studio uses standard art direction on this tier. Pro art direction runs only on Ultra Max.

Before you generate

Prompt tips

  1. 01Name the print style you want, such as "halftone", "screen print" or "flat color".
  2. 02State the colors and how many, for example "navy and orange" or "three spot colors".
  3. 03Put any text in quotes, exactly as it should read.
  4. 04Ask for 2K. A 4K request gives the same size at the same price.

Recovery

When it goes wrong

The texture is more than you wanted.
Ask for "flat color, no texture", or run the prompt on Ultra, which gave cleaner edges in our examples.
You picked 4K and got a 2K image.
Standard tops out at 2K, and the 4K request was priced at 2K. Use Ultra or Ultra Max for 4K.
You asked for a transparent background and got a solid one.
Only Ultra Max makes real transparent PNGs. Run the final on Ultra Max.
Lettering comes back with a wrong or extra letter.
Check every word before you use the image. One image in our example set misspelled a team name. Put the exact text in quotes, then edit the image or run it again.
