Image Tools · source to export

A larger transparent PNG starts with a better source.

Upscale 4× helps when your raster artwork needs more pixels for a mockup or export. Width and height each grow by four. The original lettering, cutout and print requirements still deserve a close review.

Sign-in required. Upscale uses account credits.

Select, enlarge, inspect, save

  1. 01

Choose the source you intend to use

Sign in to Image Tools, open or upload your artwork, and select that design. Use the cleanest original raster file you have.

  2. 02

    Choose Upscale 4× once

Width and height each grow by four. Let the current request finish before starting another action on the artwork.

  3. 03

    Inspect the saved result

Compare lettering, fine strokes, and transparent edges on light and dark backgrounds at your intended use size.

  4. 04

    Reuse or download the PNG

Select the saved result for your next step, apply it to a mockup, or download the PNG. Return to your saved designs to find it again.

Three repeatable workflows

Transparent illustration → larger PNG → mockup

Start with the clean transparent illustration. Upscale once, inspect the saved version, then apply that result to a mockup. Check the design on both a light and a dark garment so transparent edge problems are easier to see.

Opaque upload → background removal → Upscale

If a JPG or opaque PNG has a background you do not want, remove it first and inspect the cutout. Select that cleaned version as the source for Upscale. Enlarging the original opaque upload would retain its background.

Customer logo → choose raster or vector

Use Upscale when you need a larger raster PNG. If the production job needs scalable paths, review Vectorize instead. Enlarging a PNG does not make it an SVG or repair an inaccurate logo.

Preparation matters more than repeated enlargement

Prefer the original file over a screenshot, compressed copy or previously enlarged result. Keep the original alongside the version you intend to use. Upscale is a fixed action; there is no scale selector or new quality tier to choose.

Inspect at the size you intend to export. Look for readable letters, unbroken thin strokes, clear negative space and unclipped artwork. Check transparent regions against contrasting backgrounds rather than relying on a single preview.

Pixel dimensions and print dimensions are different. Confirm the file and intended placement with your print process. Extra pixels do not certify a design as production-ready or guarantee recovery of missing detail.

Plan for the output size

Each started 24 MP of output uses 10 account credits. One MP is 1,000,000 pixels. Exactly 24 MP uses 10 credits; just over 24 MP uses 20. Because both sides grow four times, total pixels grow sixteen times.

2000 × 20008000 × 800030
3000 × 200012000 × 800040

The source limit is 10 MiB and the output limit is 100 MP. A 3000 × 2000 source becomes 12000 × 8000, or 96 MP. Use a smaller source if the fixed output would exceed the limit.

Recover without losing track of the source

The connection dropped or processing is still pending

Reopen the design and allow the pending request to finish. Check the saved results before starting another upscale; a connection interruption alone does not mean the request failed.

The source changed before processing started

Select the updated artwork and try again. Confirm the selected source is the one you want enlarged.

The source or output is too large

Choose a smaller original source. Sources must be at most 10 MiB; the fixed 4× result must be at most 100 MP.

The background is still visible

Upscale retains transparency that already exists. Use background removal before enlarging an opaque image when you need a cutout.

Fine text or edges need more work

Inspect the original artwork and fix its lettering, clipped strokes, or cutout edges. A larger raster file cannot guarantee recovery of missing detail.

Before export, open the downloaded PNG and confirm the expected dimensions, transparent areas and artwork detail. If a result is missing or still pending, review your saved designs and the request state before trying again.
