Operator file fix · Included with Pro

The file you got is not the file you need to print.

Give Operator the artwork and the print width. It enlarges clean art faithfully, rebuilds captures that cannot print, checks its work, and hands back an SVG plus a transparent 600 DPI PNG. Close the tab and come back for the files.

No invitation needed on Pro. Runs use credits for the tools they run.

What Operator does with your file

Enlarge what is good. Rebuild only what is broken.

Size math: pixel width ÷ print width in inches = effective DPI. A 12-inch print at 600 DPI needs 7,200 pixels. Read the full guide.

From a real run

A tiny JPEG became files you can inspect at print size.

Operator identified the 414 × 442 source as low resolution on a solid background, rebuilt the artwork, compared it with the original, converted it to vector shapes, and ran print file checks before export.

SVG + PNG

A vector SVG and a transparent 7,200 × 8,288 PNG with embedded 600 DPI metadata.

1 warning

All eight steps finished and print file checks passed, but the run still reported one warning. Review the art, especially small text and contrast, before production.

New in this release

Fewer surprises between your upload and the press.

Faithful enlargement first

Clean low-resolution art is enlarged instead of redrawn, so lettering and shapes stay yours. Operator rebuilds only captures that cannot print as they are.

Transparent art, checked properly

Operator checks transparent art against a backdrop color that is not in your design, so white and grey parts are not missed, and removes that backdrop without grey fringes or filled-in holes.

Follow-ups that build on the approved version

“Make the text grey” changes the last approved result instead of starting over. Color-only changes are applied exactly, and your requested change is not treated as a mistake.

Clearer results

Non-blocking findings show up as delivery notes, and a run that cannot finish says why, so you know whether to review, adjust the request, or try again.

From source to production files

Start the run. Get back to your work.

A run is saved on the server, so you can leave the tab and return to its status and files later. Some jobs pause for input, reach a time or cost limit, or finish with notes; the run tells you when that happens.

01

Hand over the file

Attach the artwork in Operator and say how wide it will print. A phone capture, a tiny JPEG, or an image on a solid background is a fine starting point.

02

Let the run work

Operator looks at the source, picks the right path, checks the result against your original, and makes a few bounded repairs if something blocks printing.

03

Review two files

Open the SVG and the transparent PNG, read any delivery notes, and check lettering and garment contrast before the order goes to production.

What comes back

Two files. A clear record of the checks.

For a 12-inch-wide request, the PNG is 7,200 pixels wide at 600 DPI. The actual output depends on the width you choose and whether the run can satisfy its checks.

Production SVG

A vector file for reviewing and editing the artwork at print size.

Transparent 600 DPI PNG

A high-resolution raster export, checked for dimensions, embedded density, and transparency.

Delivery notes

Anything Operator could not fully resolve is listed with the files, so your team knows exactly what to review.

Questions

Before you hand over the next file

Do I need an invitation to use Operator?
Not on Pro. Monthly and annual Pro subscribers can open Operator right away, and new Pro subscribers get access in the same session once billing confirms. Other plans can still request beta access.
What files do I get back?
A vector SVG and a transparent PNG at 600 DPI for the width you choose. At the default 12 inches, the PNG is 7,200 pixels wide.
Is the output ready to print without checking?
Review it first. Operator checks dimensions, density, transparency, and differences from your original, and it reports anything it could not resolve, but it does not certify spelling, rights, or how a garment will print.
Does it cost extra?
Operator access is included with Pro. Runs use credits for the tools they run, such as upscales and image generation, from the same credit table as the rest of DesignGen.
Can I close the tab while it works?
Yes. Runs are saved on the server. Come back to the run for its status, files, and notes. Some runs pause for your input or stop at a time or cost limit; the run tells you when that happens.
Which model should I pick?
The default, Medium US, works well for file fixes. Sparrow and Sparrow Fast are quicker options for everyday print work.
