Imagine Friday’s tote launch. The artwork is ready, your customers follow your shop’s Facebook Page, and you want a useful invitation waiting for them.
This walkthrough gets you to one saved draft for the right account. Saving is a preparation step; approval comes next.
Before you begin: your Social Connect access and chosen destination must be active. Check Settings → Add-ons if the workspace is unavailable. The rollout opens each platform separately.
Open Social Connect and find Connected accounts. Choose Connect for your destination, then follow the social network’s authorization screens.
When asked, select the intended Page, company, business location or board. Return to DesignGen and read the connected account name before you start a post.
Your password belongs on the network’s authorization screen. A DesignGen assistant never needs it.
| Destination | Choose deliberately |
|---|---|
| The Page your customers follow | |
| Your professional account | |
| Your personal profile or the intended company page | |
| Google Business Profile | The right business location |
| YouTube | The channel for the finished video |
| TikTok | The intended account and delivery method |
| The account and destination board | |
| X | The intended account; caption links are unsupported in this release |
Checkpoint: you can identify the exact destination by name, beyond recognizing its platform icon.
Choose that connected account in the composer. Under Studio media, select the available image or video you want the customer to see.
For the tote launch, a finished mockup gives the artwork a useful setting. Open your chosen media and check lettering, edges, crop and product details. Use your own finished work; the guide’s botanical tote is an example campaign.
If the intended item is not available, choose available studio media or prepare a suitable owned output through the supported assistant workflow. Check that the saved review actually contains it.
Give the post one clear job: invite a regular customer to see the new tote.
Your new everyday carry has arrived. Meet our botanical tote, printed in the shop and ready for the weekend. Come see the finished piece in person.
Make every product detail true for your launch. Add a time, offer or website only after checking it. For another destination, make another saved draft and adapt the story to that audience.
Review the channel-specific fields. YouTube needs a video. Pinterest needs media and a board. On TikTok, choose privacy and delivery method deliberately: inbox delivery still needs you to finish in TikTok.
For a scheduled post, choose Schedule for later, then set the date, time and timezone. Friday at 10 a.m. needs all three.
Choose Save draft & review. The review panel should show the saved account, content, media and timing.
Give Operator, the Creative Studio assistant or your connected MCP assistant a brief with enough context to help:
Prepare a Facebook Page post for my botanical tote launch. Confirm the Page with me, use my finished mockup and draft an invitation for regular customers. Propose Friday at 10 a.m. in my timezone. Save a draft for me to review.
Assistant preparation requires active social access. You approve the saved version in DesignGen. Try the copyable brief examples for other audiences.
Reconnect when the workspace asks you to restore authorization, then check the selected destination again. If the wrong Page or location appears, resolve that selection before continuing.
If an older draft contains media that cannot be previewed, choose available media and save a new draft. Check every item in the new review before approving.
